Topshop, Topman expand partnership with Nordstrom

RBR Staff Writer Published 28 August 2013

British multinational retailer Topshop and its stand-alone fashion business counterpart Topman have expanded partnership with American upscale fashion retailer Nordstrom.

The expansion will see the addition of 28 Topshop concessions and eight Topman departments across the US. The proposed stores are slated to open in late September 2013.

Topshop and Topman outlets will be opened in key markets such as Dallas, Houston, Minneapolis, San Diego, Washington DC, Southern and Northern California, South Florida, and downtown locations in Chicago and Seattle.

The partnership, which was signed a year ago, has seen the addition of Topshop shoes and Make-Up in select stores in Nordstrom. Now, the company intends to further expand its product offerings with the introduction of Topman suiting in over 30 stores by November.

Topshop and Topman's parent company Arcadia's owner Sir Philip Green said, "I always believed that Nordstrom's multichannel presence was the decisive factor in partnering with them in the USA, and we are looking forward to the further expansion across so many great cities, and refining our presence within their stores and online."

Presently, Topshop and Topman have flagship stores in New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, and their own US designated websites at Topshop.com and Topman.com.

Founded in 1901 as a shoe store in Seattle, Nordstrom currently operates 248 stores in 33 states, including 117 full-line stores, 127 Nordstrom Racks, two Jeffrey boutiques, one treasure & bond store and one clearance store.
