Nordstrom Rack to open in Fort Collins, Colorado

RBR Staff Writer Published 29 October 2014

Seattle-based Nordstrom announced today plans to open a Nordstrom Rack at Foothills Mall.

The approximately 32,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open in fall 2015. The property is being developed and managed by Alberta Development Partners.

Nordstrom Rack is part of a planned redevelopment of Foothills Mall, with updates that will provide a more open air, lifestyle center layout. The new Rack will be visible and accessible from the main retail corridor of College Ave.

"We are fortunate to have many customers in Colorado and this additional location will make it more convenient for those who live in Fort Collins," said Geevy Thomas, president of Nordstrom Rack. "We look forward to bringing new and existing customers a local store that will offer many of their favorite brands we carry at Nordstrom at great prices."

When the new store opens, it will be the fifth Rack in Colorado. The company also operates three Nordstrom stores in the state.

"We are thrilled to have Nordstrom Rack join a group of leading fashion retailers that will anchor this best-in-class redevelopment," said Don Provost, founding principal of Alberta Development Partners.

Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, Inc., offering customers a wide selection of on-trend apparel, accessories and shoes at an everyday savings of 30-70 percent off regular prices. The Rack carries merchandise from Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com, as well as specially purchased items from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom. The Rack is designed to provide the ultimate treasure hunt to style-savvy customers.
