Kohl's Department to open three stores in Connecticut

US-based department store chain Kohl’s will open three new outlets in Connecticut, US, on 26 September 2012.

The proposed outlets will be located in New Milford, Berlin and Killingly, and are expected to create around 375 jobs.The store openings are part of the retailer's plan to open 12 new stores nationwide this fall, creating about 1,500 jobs.

Remaining nine outlets are expected to open in Worcester, Massachusetts, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington.

All 12 stores will feature upgraded checkout stations, shopping carts and fitting rooms, expanded customer service area, two in-store Kohl's Kiosks, electronic signs in every department and Wi-Fi services.

Kohl's is a family-focused, value-oriented specialty department store offering moderately priced, exclusive and national brand apparel, shoes, accessories, beauty and home products.

The company, currently, operates 1,134 stores in 49 states of the US.
