Department store chain Nordstrom to open three new stores in US

American retail chain Nordstrom plans to open three new Nordstrom Rack stores, its off-price retail division, in the states of Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin, US.

The proposed Michigan store will occupy 30,000ft² of floor space and will be located at Arborland Center in southeastern Ann Arbor between the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University.

The new Michigan store will be the retailer's third Rack store in the state of Michigan and is scheduled to open spring 2013.

Nordstrom's Ohio store will be located at Easton Market occupying 35,000ft² of space and scheduled to open in fall of 2013.

To be opened at The Mayfair Collection in Wauwatosa, the Wisconsin store will occupy 36,000ft² of space and is scheduled to open in spring 2014. This will be the retailer's first location in the state of Wisconsin.

All the stores will offer a selection of apparel, accessories and shoes from various brands carried in Nordstrom stores.

Nordstrom Rack retails on-trend merchandise from Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com at 50-60% off the original Nordstrom prices.
