Debenhams to introduce French fashion brand Promod in UK

RBR Staff Writer Published 19 August 2013

Debenhams, a UK-based retail giant, has collaborated with French fashion label Promod to introduce the brand in the UK market through concession format across its department stores.

Under the arrangement, the retail chain will initially unveil 3,200ft2 Promod concessions across Debenhams' stores in Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow in August 2013.

A similar format will also be launched in the retailer's Oxford Street flagship store following the completion of its current £25m transformation, scheduled by later 2013.

Debenhams Group trading director Suzanne Harlow said that Debenhams has a history of bringing the best fashion brands to the UK high street.

"Promod is an exciting addition to our strong portfolio of concessions and perfectly reflects our values of providing fabulous designs at fantastic prices," added Harlow.

"Having already seen huge success across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, we're confident that Promod will be a hit on the UK high street."

Promod is expected to unveil its Autumn/Winter 2013 collection as part of its debut with Debenhams.

Promod country manager Kate Rooney stated, "The UK is a key market for us and we are very excited to be working with Debenhams. Its success on the UK high street is undeniable and Debenhams is the ideal partner for us to bring the Promod brand to British shoppers."

Debenhams department stores also feature other concession brands, including Warehouse, Oasis, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, Pineapple, Coast, Kaliko and Lipsy.
