Bloomingdale’s to open new store at Ala Moana Center in Honolulu

US-based luxury department store chain Bloomingdale’s is opening a new store in Honolulu on the Island of O’ahu at the Ala Moana Center, which is considered to be one of the largest open-air shopping malls in the world.


The 65,000ft2 store will feature three floors with an updated store model offering extensive roster of brands, many of which have exclusive deals with Bloomingdale's Ala Moana.

Shoppers can expect to find a range of assorted luxury goods and stylish essentials for men, women, children and home category.

The store will feature Burberry Beauty, the Vince handbag shop; Carven shoes, handbags and ready-to-wear. T by Alexander Wang for men and women, a wide range of collection for men from Burberry to Saturdays Surf, luxury travel gear from Rimowa and Bric's, will be available at the store.

The ground floor will house the Visitors Center which will act as a relaxation and informational center offering services with multi-lingual staff, multi-lingual store directories, complimentary coat and bag check, concierge services, hotel package delivery and style advisor appointments.

The floor will feature a dedicated Tourism Manager who will also collaborate with tour groups to create customized shopping experiences such as fashion shows, afternoon tea and cocktail parties.

There will be limited-access VIP lounge located within the Visitors Center with additional services such as light food and beverage, Bluetooth printer and iPads, a charging station, a private restroom, and more.

The first floor will carry cosmetics and fragrance department offering an array of brands Jo Malone, Hermès, Bond No.9 and Tom Ford Private Blend fragrances, La Prairie, Sisley, and Korean skincare shop, Aritaum, also carrying new products from Sulwhasoo, Laneige and Iope. The floor will also be equipped with beauty services with four skincare treatment rooms.

Latest trends in fashion accessories with an expansive assortment of handbags with brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Chloé, See by Chloé, Burberry, MCM, and new to Bloomingdale's Meli Melo and House of Holland will be available on the floor. Jewellery adornments from brands such as Alexis Bittar, Chan Luu, Ippolita, Marco Bicego and Roberto Coin, as well as Shourouk and Melinda Maria, will garner the first floor of the mall.

Sunglasses from Celiné, Dior, Fendi, Gucci, Oliver Peoples, TOMS, Ray-Ban and others; women's shoes from designers such as SJP Collection by Sarah Jessica Parker, Stella McCartney, Alexander Wang, Tory Burch, and exclusive to Bloomingdale's Ala Moana, Marni and Tidal, can also be found.

The second floor will have a separate entrance and shoppers can directly enter the mall through this entrance. A haven of women's apparel offering latest collections from T by Alexander Wang, Eliza J, M Missoni, IRO.JEANS and See by Chloé along with Vera Wang, which is new to Bloomingdale's, will only be carried at the Ala Moana location.

Fashion necessities for different occasions will be made available on this floor garnered by brands such as Armani Collezioni, AllSaints, Maje, Max Mara, Sonia Rykiel, Zadig and Voltaire, and Sandro. The mall will carry intimate apparel as well with La Perla and Hanro shop along with lingerie by Dita Von Teese.

Australian labels Bardot and MINKPINK to BLANKNYC denim to beach party frocks from Lucy Paris and BB Dakota will be available through Sunset & Spring, a curated shop of Bloomingdale's.

The third floor will carry men's wear and homeware needs. Menswear brands such APC, Billy Reid, Public School, Etro, Neil Barrett, rag & bone/JEAN, with swimwear from Park & Ronen, Trunks Taylor Vintage, and new to Bloomingdale's, Orlebar Brown swim, can be found on this floor. Coach, Salvatore Ferragamo sunglasses, Marni, Rhone, Smythson, men's shoes by Paul Smith, MCM, Salvatore Ferragamo, Vince, Y-3, and more will be offered.

For homeware, a selection of brands such as Frette bedding, Hudson park bedding, Kelly Westler bedding, Oake bedding, Pratesi bedding, Sferra bedding, Sky bedding, Abyss towels, John Robshaw towels, Hudson Park towels and Matouk towels, will be offered.
